You can also combine the single WAN port with a LAN port for 2 Gb/s internet connections, giving you the ability to utilize speeds over 1 Gb/s from your internet service provider. Please note that WAN aggregation requires that the modem supports the 802.3ad protocol, and for cable modems, DOCSIS 3.1 support is required.
